I really like Oyama. The owners are fabulous and it’s a big, diverse menu. Things are tasty, and good for Ellensburg. They might not be so competitive in Seattle, but hey! I would recommend to anyone who enjoys hibachi grill group parties, yakisoba, Sushi, sashimi, and teriyaki. I wish they would make more sushi rolls without cream cheese - barf - and not smothered in mayonnaise-based sauces, but the traditional rolls are good.
Some of my favorites are
The fresh Sugar Peas sautéed in a garlic sauce;
Dumpling soup with the earthy flavor of the added mushrooms;
The yakisoba (I like the “fried” sautéed version, rather than the soup one);
Rainbow roll

Used to love this place. But the last 2 or 3 times We have ordered from here the food has been sub par since covid -19
