The best Japanese crusine in town and the service is excellent!

We went for the first time tonight to try out Old Tokyo Steakhouse for my birthday and I was very impressed. The larger tables with actual room for your food and guests was absolutely refreshing. The decor changes was beautiful and made it feel just like you were in Japan. I loved the decor!
The food was delicious, the chef was great with my 9 year old and had a wonderful personality. Sumos is usually my favorite but Old Tokyo Steakhouse just replaced them in my book. I love garlic fried rice and the chef made it perfect with enough garlic to really taste it! Tasted better than Sumos in my opinion! The soup was fire..so flavorful! Great ginger dressing on the salad, fantastic cocktails, good prices, and the crab rangoons/eggrolls were killer.
I got the chicken, filet, and shrimp. All 3 were perfectly cooked, seasoned well and so tender. Filet just melted in your mouth. My husband got all seafood. It was fresh and tasted great. The service was fast and they were very cautious with the covid rules. All wore masks and brought us warm towels to wash our hands with. It was the perfect birthday dinner and I will certainly be back.
So happy to have this hidden gem on the South Westside of town! Definitely way better than Korea or Sumos. I hope in the future they will add sushi to the menu as well. That's the only thing I would wish for in the future for them. I do love my California rolls as an appetizer lol. I hope Old Tokyo stays in business for a long time! 5 stars and can't recommend enough!
