Stopped by on the ATV for a quick drink. While they don't serve food, the cold beers and friendly staff, including the owner, made it a pleasant visit. The well-maintained atmosphere ensures we'll be returning during future outings.

We would not recommend anyone stopping here unless you are into seeing the owner completely drunk and telling her patrons not to go to any other bars in the area. We were on our sleds and looking for a place to eat. The drunk owner from across the bar, said this was the best bar in the area. And there isn't another bar around for miles. We looked on our phones and quickly finished our 1 drink and left. There was a wonderful restaurant across the road through the trail we found.
To top off our experience at The Local, while I went to the bathroom there, my wife said the guy sitting next to " the owner" approached her and asked if would like to go upstairs.
For what looked like an upscale bar in the Northwoods when we walked in, it turned out to be a place that we would soon like to forget about!!
