We waited over 20 min and no one ever came to even take our drink order. We left. It was 2 adults and 2 small children and no one welcomed us anything outside of sitting us down. Music was the only good thing.

Absolutly terrible service, the WORST I've ever had!!!!!! I attempted to place an order online last week around 3pm and it had gotten declined by the restaurant, so then I tried to call 10 times within an hour and no one ever answered the phone. Same thing happened this week so I decided to just drive to the restaurant and place my order to go which I live 20 minutes away from so it's a 40 minute drive total. It was my turn to be helped and I had asked if I could place an order to go and I was told no because they don't take carry out orders after 5pm. I said well I tried calling and ordering online too and no one answered the phone. I was then told by the server that when they have a full house they don't answer the phone or take online orders because they're to short staffed. I understand that your short staffed, everyone is believe me, but when the owner, I believe her name is Mary Jo, came out to talk to me I started to let her know what happened she cut me off and told me to leave her business because I was causing a scene. I told her that I was not, I was just trying to explain what had happened and thought maybe they're stuff having issues and that's why nothing would go through. She then told me that she was telling me to leave her business. The thing is I never asked to speak to the owner or management, I just wanted to order food. If I would have known that the owner was going to be so rude and was just there to yell at me in front of other customers I wouldn't have stood there waiting thinking that I was going to get to order. I will NEVER come back to this restaurant for the way she had spoken to me and had treated me. I did not cause a scene at all and have never been spoken to like that before by a supposed business person in my life! And to the servers that lied to her saying that I was causing a scene, shame on you for lying!!!! I used to speak highly of your food and customer service but I'll now be sure to spread the word of how poor your customer service is and how poor a business owner can run her business and treat a customer that just wanted to order some food.

Food is always delicious. Be patient, good food takes time. Large portions, fair prices. Best to go on weekdays. Less busy, shorter wait.

i love this restaurant if you like melt in your mouth steaks that tastes great get the NY strip its the most tender strip steak i ever had out of all the steak joints i ever went to they say its 1lb but its not its bigger and about 2 inches thick,you can cut it with a butter knife,plus the hash browns i got with it was a whole separate plate with what ever you want on them i had cheese mushrooms and onion, i could only finish 1/2 of them because the steak was so huge,i took home the rest for breakfast the next morning.every thing we ordered was huge portions we all had to take some home.the fry's are fantastic,next time i go i will be having the fish or seafood plate you will not be disappointed at all with this place and will not leave hungry not for a while,i tell everyone about it i wont go anywhere else in the dells for dinner or breakfast anymore.i forgot about this place because im getting older but my wife and granddaughters reminded me about it, they even went on stage and sang some songs while we were there and that we were there 2yrs ago, now i remember how great the steak was and will remember next time im in the Dells,it was so good i had them cut me one uncooked to go,we had it last night and it was Tender and Great!! but they do season it a little better than we did.im just hoping they stay open at least until i die so i can have a fantastic place to eat when we go to the Dells with the family.plus i forgot the people there are great also including the owners we had the pleasure to meet and talk to while there,i normally don't write reviews but this place i had too.thanks for the great time and we will be back Hell if i lived closer it would be my go to restaurant every time i went out to eat,the steak is a definite 5 Star restaurant steak.

Our family can NOT get enough of Myrt & Lucy's Chat & Chew!
Now truth be told, if you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. Because they care about the quality of their food; they make every order as it comes in. Nothing is sitting under heat lamps, drying out waiting for an order to be called. The atmosphere of the restaurant along with the owners and wait staff make your wait enjoyable. Plenty of artifacts to look at on the walls. Ask MJ about all the aprons and quilts around the place. Listen to the history of them. No matter how busy they get you are never rushed out of your spot.
If you want quickie meals where food has been laying around etc. then head on over to one of the fast food places. But if you want homemade meals like you got at your grandma's then this is the place to be.
Look around, sit, chat with the locals, relax (I mean you're on vacation, right? So shouldn't you be relaxing?)
We have never had a bad meal here. I think we've had them all, from breakfasts to dinners each one is better than the next.
Friday night fish fry is AMAZING! Get there early
Same goes for the Saturday night Prime Rib
The corn fritters with honey better are delicious
Steak sandwich and steak dinner are HUGE!!!
Homemade potato chips over the moon!
The homemade carrot cake and homemade bread pudding are always take home as we never have enough room for them after our meal.
So, if you've got the time, give them a try - trust me you won't be disappointed.
