I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience at the Hitching Post! The new owner, Darren, is dedicated to providing great service and delicious food, like the BOGO burgers and fantastic bloody marys. Next time you're in town, be sure to stop by and try the all-you-can-eat fish fry with a side of their famous BAR fries for a truly satisfying meal.

They used to have good pizza, but now they have changed almost everything about it and it sucks. I'd rather pop a frozen one in the oven or on the grill than wait for what they serve now. Chicken is good as are their burgers, and fish on Fridays, but stay away from the pizza. Go to Center House for that.

Do not go here, except for Friday nights!!!! Call ahead for reservations on Friday night. Avoid the bar altogether- the service is horrible unless you are a friend or relative of the bartenders! The last time we were in on a Thursday- she spent more time on her phone then she did attending to customers. The bartenders are borderline rude and seem to have no desire to interact with customers.
The dining room is a different story!! The are normally 2 waitresses and both are nice and friendly. There is a younger one that has been there forever who is fantastic! She talks to all the tables and seems to know everyone that comes in. She will take excellent care of you. I like my froglegs lightly cooked and she makes sure that they actually come that way. The fish fry comes with fish, froglegs, chicken and shrimp. All four are excellent but the froglegs are the best I've had anywhere!!
