We love taking rides to this restaurant especially in the summer months. Sitting outside on the deck is so nice and having the inside porch and restaursnt seating area adds so much.
The food is as good as you would get at any tavern. It is not top of the line dining; however, one would not expect that at a place called a tavern. Great place for the money.

I went to the Oxhead tavern with friends on Saturday night. We went to listen to the music and have dessert and coffee. Three of us had the berry shortcake. It was the worst thing that we ever had, we all agreed. The cake part was anything but a biscuit. The amount of berries was very little, although those were good. The cream was not even real whip cream. You should be quite embarrassed serving such a terrible dessert. We told the waitress and she just dismissed it.
