A must-try gem! The ambiance was comfortable and warm, service was friendly and prompt. The place was spotless and Carmen the manager was an absolute joy who made us feel like family.
The quality of the food was very good. You can tell that everything is made from scratch. The brisket was cooked perfectly with a lovely marbling of fat that made it moist and tender. The ribs literally fell off the bone and figuratively melted in my mouth. These were easily on my top 10 list of best meats I've ever had.
For sides, I'd recommend the french fries which were cooked perfectly (not easy to do!) and served with their own homemade Campfire sauce. (I bought a bottle to take home it was that good). The roasted veggies were yummy and the cucumber salad refreshing.
To end the evening, we stopped by the connected animal petting barn which my kids went nuts over. The barn was very clean (for a barn) and the animals friendly and well taken care of.
You may see some older reviews complaining of the food and service and I won't discount their experiences. I will point out that this restaurant is only months old and I think they've come a long way in working out the kinks, as any new restaurant must do.
Overall, I highly recommend giving Davis's BBQ a try and can't wait to return myself!
