I have been coming to this restaurant for about 30 years and I am very disappointed by the quality of the food and the service. We always bring our friends and family from out of town but I think we will find a new place to eat...sorry Bobby,I will miss your enchiladas

El Conquistador has been an established Mexican restaurant since 1974. You would think that after all these years, the husband and wife who own and operate this would have a pretty good idea of how to run an efficient business. Not even close! First of all, the dining area is an absolute disaster. The place is a filth and looks as if the carpet hasn't been cleaned since 1974. Second, the wait staff is a total joke. I've had better service at Mcdonald's than this place. Every single employee acted as if they didn't want to be there. Want to know something? You work for tips! When a waitress that is probably just out of high school would rather text message the entire time and disappear for 10-15 minutes, I can't imagine how you make any money at all. Third, you can hear every conversation the employees are having in the back room. The subject of conversation, the cook made fresh marijuana cookies for all the workers to enjoy. What! Am I on a hidden camera TV show because this place is simply out of control! I could not believe what I was hearing. Fourth, I don't know about the liquor laws in this state but I'm pretty sure you have to be 21 to serve alcohol in any establishment. So when the 18 year old high as a kite fumbling idiot of a waitress can't even drink alcohol is serving it, I'm pretty sure she knows how to get the hook-ups. For all potential customers, this place is absolutely corrupt and its only a matter of time before the place goes out of business.

We ordered some take out food for my birthday, but when we arrived we were told that the food had been thrown away.
They should have at least called to say that it was ready, or ask if I still wanted it if they felt that I was taking too long to pick it up.
The owners are so rude.
