Every year, when we're in the area for an event, we make it a tradition to visit the Harrison Family House. However, after my recent experience, I've decided that I will never dine at this restaurant again.

During our visit, there were four of us in our party, and as we waited in the outer seating area, we found that there weren't enough seats available. Interestingly, there was a long bench just inside the restaurant near the cash register. I decided to go in and take a seat there, only to be confronted by an extremely discourteous manager. He informed me that I couldn't sit on the bench and instead pointed to two empty seats still available outside in the waiting area. I pointed out that we were a party of four and needed sufficient seating while we waited. To my dismay, he adamantly refused to allow us to use the empty bench and simply walked away.

I expressed my frustration with him and, in no uncertain terms, informed him that we would not be dining at the restaurant. There is absolutely no justification for having an entirely vacant bench and denying a customer the opportunity to sit there. The manager's behavior was not only rude but also highly unprofessional. Needless to say, this sorry excuse for a restaurant has lost my business for good.

On a brighter note, we decided to venture just 300 yards down the road to another restaurant, Captain Steve's, where we had an outstanding dining experience with an exceptionally friendly staff. My advice is to steer clear of the Harrison Family House. I've never encountered such a discourteous manager before.

I live approx; 2 miles from this restaurant ,I eat there often the food is very delicious. The lettuce is fresh on
the chef salad. Check the varied selections on their menu . The food is seasoned well . The drive through
window is available for those who choose not to eat inside. Ask about the delicious cakes being served .

This was our first visit. We had a party of 8. The food was okay, but the waitress was awful. She was friendly and accommodating to those around us, but not to us.Example: We asked for extra napkins. She finally brought 3. We told her we needed more and she said "I already brought you some." One person in our group had ribs and we had 3 kids in our group, therefore we needed more.
My total order came to 31.00. I usually leave 20% tip for good service. I left $1. I don't know what the total was for the other 5 people was, but they they didn't leave a big tip.The waitress left a lot to be desired, but she wasn't like that with everyone. We will not go back because of that.
