As usual theSnyder Skeets is out of fajitas and steak. Now after my order they are out of chicken fried steak. We asked for the manager and were told she is never here. She doesn’t even show up most days. That is evident because they are always out of something. That’s really too bad because Skeets used to be a great place to eat in Snyder. After this new manager came in it has become the worst place to eat in Snyder.

Wanting a great hamburger and got disappointed this time. The burgers are usually great, ours were dry. It was not crowed for a Saturday evening. Biggest complaint was the french fries! Oh my goodness they are worse than Burger King fries that are not really french friies are they?
We are so disappointed but the quality of this dinner for a gormet burger and fries was not up to standard. It will be awhile before we return to the store across from Hendriich Home.

I BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWER IS CONFUSED, A COMPETITOR OR AT THE WRONG RESTAURANT! THE FOOD IS ALWAYS AWESOME,THE SERVICE GREAT AND THE QUANTITIES ARE COPIOUS AND ALMOST OVERWHELMING! GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE! GREAT PLACE!

I have dined at Skeets several times and have always had a positive experience, so when my son said he wanted to drive to Abilene from Weatherford to take me to lunch and said for me to pick the restaurant, I chose Skeets because of it's great food and I thought he would love it. He ordered the barbeque chicken and I ordered the grilled mushroom chicken. When they brought our food, he just sat staring at his plate, speechless. He was given 2 very, very small, thin pieces of chicken. It looked lost on his plate, the baked potato totally overshadowing it. I was so embarrassed. I actually gave him one of my (also tiny) pieces of chicken, which by the way, was not as the menu described as having grilled onions/mushrooms with melted swiss cheese over it, but rather was a brown gravy wth chunks of mushrooms. He is a big and strong young man, an Arlington fireman, but the portion he was given looked like something you would give an 8 year old child. I am very disappointed, and as I said, I was totally embarrassed that he drove over 2 hours each way to take his mother to lunch, and that I had chosen this particular restaurant which turned out to be a very bad choice. The service was great, as it always is. However, I will not recommend Skeets in Abilene to anyone ever again for fear of them having the same experience as we did.
