12/30/2013 - Mrs. Knight
I dine out at least 4 days a week. My husband and I decided to try out this place. The spinach artichoke dip was great but it went downhill from there. After looking over the menu and asking many questions we made our selection. I'm a peace pescetarian and my husband does not eat pork for religious purposes and I asked the waitress if my dish was meat free and she assured me 3 different times that it did not contain any meat. That was not the case. After eating a two bites I notice ham underneath my fish.I brought it to her attention and she told me that it was fish not ham. My fish was white but this chunk of meat was red. I looked around in the plate and see small pieces of bacon. She goes to the kitchen and comes back saying that the corn dish on the bottom of the fish does contain meat. She told me she could replate the fish the same fish that has been marinated in ham and bacon. She says that I can just eat the fish and not eat the bacon or ham that in the beginning was never part of the dish. Then she says I didn't know you were a pescetarian. I only asked her if 5 dishes had meat. The 2 bites of the red fish lacked flavor. The service was poor. Definitely not recommend this overpriced restaurant. With a name like City Grill I expected more grilled items.
