you don't go to this place for atmosphere. Oh, the ambiance is fine but that's not why you go. First of all, it's NOT sandwiches. It is some of the best mexican food you will find anywhere. The buttered chips and 2 kinds of sauce (hot and salsa) are FABULOUS. My favorite combo (it's difficult to narrow it down but this is what i normally get) is No. 5 (b): Enchilada (cheese w/onions), taco (shredded beef-is there really any other kind???), and combo burro. I also love the tostadas and ALL the burros but there is only so much i can stuff into my body. The food is so good that when we go, we also place an order to go and bring back a bunch of it with us to Phoenix.
the mexican food in Globe in general is very good, but my personal favorite is Libby's El Rey. I was raised on it and have never outgrown it. i would need it shipped to me if i wasn't close enough to go when the craving hit.
