Went to Ristorante Fiore's with a group of friends and had a wonderful evening. The rooftop deck was not open because it's winter, but the food and ambiance within the restaurant makes it worth the trip even when theres snow on the ground. The service was fantastic, as usual, and I strongly recommend trying it.

I had heard good things about the restaurant. Three of us dined indoors. The service was mediocre at best and indifferent. Two of us were asked about drinks to order. Our female companion was not given time to order a drink after she asked for a moment to look at the wine menu. After our drinks were served, we had to stop the waiter to order her glass of wine. A very high priced steak dish ordered "medium" was served cold, overcooked and well done with cold potatos. A veal dish was quite overcooked and slightly hard. When the waiter asked how was everything I asked if he wanted to know the truth - the waiter then simply walked away. No one on exiting the restaurant asked about our meal. A truly indifferent wait staff and an extremely disappointing experience.

The food was fabulous, our waitress was incredible and our whole evening changed when about 6 loud, unkept, gangster looking men came in and ruined everyones evening. After we put up with this for about 15 min., (everyone else around us were visibly annoyed as well), we asked the busboy to see the owner/manager. When our complaint was heard he merely wrote it off as "This is the North End, that's the atmosphere." I've been to the North End enough to tell you that spending the amount of money we did and having to put up with a bunch of drunkin slobs has not been my experience dining in the area. It's too bad because I would have gone back. He didn't make us feel like he appreciated our business and was maybe afraid to ask the other patrons to keep it down a little. I have a loud family but this was just obnoxious...

You can make reservations online for this place from their website. The food is excellent and if
you get a reservation online, it keeps you from having to be in all those lines on Hanover Street on a Friday/Saturday night.
On a nice night, sit on the roofdeck for dinner.
