Would leave 0 stars if it were possible… Used to love Bella and have been coming for years but KT sold it a couple weeks ago and the new owner leaves a lot to be desired. Arrived at 6 with an hour wait - which is to be expected on a Saturday night. Seated at 7 but waited until 8 for food, however, only my husband was served. Ten minutes later my son got his food. Asked why we weren’t being served at the same time and why it was taking so long. But when we looked around the restaurant, we noticed most tables only had one person eating instead of the whole group. Asked to see the manager who is the new owner to see what the problem was but our server said no. Twenty minutes later my daughter and I got our food but mine was raw and her order was wrong. The server said she couldn’t change my daughter’s order because according to the owner it “wouldn’t taste good that way” (it was without cheese because she’s allergic) and said if she cooked mine longer it would take at least twenty minutes and did I “really want that?” Umm, yes, we would like to eat please. As a previous restaurant owner I understand things happen. Sometimes things in the kitchen go horribly wrong but that’s when you communicate with your customers. That’s when you’re refilling drinks and offering free dessert and discounts for future dining so customers will come again. But not here. By now they were near closing time so the server brought our food out in takeout boxes along with a full price bill that I told her we would not be paying and again can we please see the new owner. She went in the back and came out and said no again but we needed to leave according to the owner. As a long time small business owner and a husband with 25 years working in hospitality management we still tipped the server because servers can’t can’t control the kitchen - even though she was rude, she was obviously young and inexperienced. However, she took the tip walked into the kitchen and yelled “oh my god they just gave me 15 bucks!” And everyone in the kitchen laughed at us. Horrible evening. Horrible experience. Strangest customer service ever. Will not be back. As natives to this community we are so sad to see such a great local restaurant go down the drain.
