I wish I could give the Cafe Flo a 4 or 5 star rating but it didn't deserve one yesterday. The setting is an absolute delight. Menu choices were creative and not overpriced. Unfortunately, four of my guests ordered P.E.I. mussels. About half of their mussels were grossly overcooked and inedible. They looked like insects in a shell. This is a shame as the peach-flavored sauce was delicious. So too was the peach cobbler desert special. My lobster BLT was beautifuly made but the sourdough toast was hard as a rock as well as the toasted baguette slices that came with the mussels. One of my guests alerted our waitress and showed her some of the overcooked mussels but nothing happened as a result. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed. Perhaps they were understaffed. Finished plates (think all those mussel shells) stayed on the table for far too long (25-30 minutes) and then a bill was presented with the arrival of desserts. You pay on a tablet and I had to ask twice for a receipt.
