Reviews of T C Diner

Hi Everyone,<br />
My name is Nickey, and I'm the new manager at the TC Diner in Fenwick Island, DE. I am pleased to announce that the summer 2011 staff has completely cleaned house. I can confidently say that we now have the best breakfast in town, in the cleanest environment, with the best servers to tie it all together.

We went there once 3 years ago and it took forever to get the food. We decided to give them another chance this morning and it took 30 minutes for our food to come. They were short handed again. We are done with them.

I will never go back. In fact, my eleven year old son said, "when I grow up and have kids, I'm never taking them there."<br />
When placing our order, the waitress never said anything, she just came to out table with her pad. When we ordered, she either couldn't hear us or didn't speak English very well and we had to point to the menu. <br />
She came back several minutes later and told me that they were out of scrapple, so they were going to use another meat. I tried to change my order, but I don't think she understood, so I gave up.<br />
The food took an unusually long time and the restaurant wasn't very busy. It took so long, what little ice I had in my water melted.<br />
The food was mediocre and overpriced. I couldn't believe I let my daughter order a $7 peanut butter and jelly sandwich with potato chips! When it came out, it was on toast! What kid eats PBJ on toast? My wife's chicken sandwich had nothing on it. We had to ask for mayo! <br />
As people came in the door, I had to refrain from telling them to go elsewhere! I overheard one table complaining, another table only ate half their meals, and nobody looked like they were enjoying themselves.<br />
I'm surprised they've managed to stay open as long as they have. My guess is that they are supported by tourists who go there once.

I hate to write a bad review but this place just plain stunk. The food was horrible. Instant mashed potatos that had no taste and made with water, not milk. Horrible. The turkey tasted rancid and the gravy had a weird taste. Basically not edible. The place was not very clean either. I can see write into the kitchen and it was horrible. Piles of dirty dishes, crummy floor. I do not expect a working kithem to be spotless but this place turned my stomach. Now I know why the food tasted so bad. Two stars to be nice. To those who wrote positive reviews, I am speechless. Interestlingly, the locals did not recommend this place.
