I've always enjoyed teriyaki style lunch (for almost thirty years of my life, it's been a favorite), but Kyoto Teriyaki is without a doubt the best I've eaten.
Nothing is greasy or heavy, the spotless kitchen is clearly visible, and the staff are really nice. Food is prepared to-order and very quickly.
While I've never been disappointed by anything on their menu, my favorites are definitely the teriyaki pork, and the kitchen katsu.
If you like spicy food, try their special hot sauce - it is rich and flavorful, with a pleasant touch of burn.
Prices are extremely low and portions large - you can have a very filling lunch for about $4-$7 dollars.
The dining area is bright - all windows, and the staff cheerful. Local newspapers are provided, and even though I could just get take-out, I always like to sit and eat there.
