Obviously the other person who left the previous review is a complete d--ch-. That was so rude and uncalled for. I live right by the Baraboo and have been there many times. The food is great, the waitstaff is good, they have a waiter there named Chuck who is one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant. As for the other reviewer saying all they care about is money, that is completely false. They send out coupons for $8.00 off, no exclusions, except Mexican Monday. Where can you go and get a burger for free? The only negative about the place is that no matter where you sit, even in non smoking, you come out smelling like cigarette smoke. The place is not a meat market until well after 11. You can easily take your family there for dinner with no problem. To the other review, get a life and stop "surveying" places for a year.

Over the course of time to determine the value to be had at this establishment I have spent one year in survey. In one year of survey I have taken in the pros and the cons and have concluded with this to say.
I rate this place as a"bar". From what I hear the food is decent and the waitstaff is quick to take orders and address concerns. Rating this as a bar my marks are obviously low for the following simple reasons.
Imagine if you will going to a strip club but without any actual stripping. Can you get great service? sure! If that is you can retain the attention of the bar staff.
1. How to retain said attention
A.) Drink until you do not know your name anymore
B.) Drink more if this is not enough
C.) If your at C.. then obviously your at the baraboo.
Why is this said?
Should you show any measure of intelligence upon entering you will be quickly reminded that you are not wanted by the staff by the cold shoulder that you find as your greeting. Prove yourself as a sucker and you shall find yourself overwhelmed in booty shakes in a willy wonka sort of way to drain you even more dry.
In short if your looking for a good time outside of a small minded staff determining if your wallet measures up to warrent thier attention then the "great" baraboo is not for you.
If you go to the traffic light or you find yourself in a position where you would like to play the masochist then the baraboo is for you. So long as you play dumb and flash green you will get whatever you want, "except" for what you want.
To play the place off with "hot" staff that don't give two sh-ts about you is a joke. Go to a stripclub, at the very least you might get a thrill for the same "or less" that you spend here.
It's a trap, you will be measured and if you do not add up "will" be discarded.
2/5 stars. The most pathetic attempt I have ever seen to mix a sports bar with "sex".
