I recently moved to El Paso and wanted to find a good Chinese Restaurant. I drove across town to Golden Buddha because they had decent reviews on the internet. I ordered the food "To Go". The overall flavor wasn't too bad, but the meat was terrible. They must have used the cheapest meat that they could find in both the pepper steak and the beef fried rice. It was tough and loaded with gristle. By loaded, I mean almost every piece of meat had big pieces of gristle marbled through it. I'm 62 years old and I've never been served anything remotely similar to it. It's like they went to the butcher shop and purchased the trimmings. This meal, most definitely, was not worth the $23.00 that I paid for it. I ended up putting about two thirds of the food down the garbage disposal. Guess What??? The garbage disposal could not grind up the gristle either. I had to take the rubber screen off and fish the gristle out with a pair of tongs. Golden Buddha needs to rethink their ingredients. Mr. Manager,,, You can't blame the cook on this one. Needless to say. I won't be going back. Nor will anyone that I know.
