SCAMS CUSTOMERS VERY HIGH PRICES
I have to say the BBQ pulled pork, the sauce and tator salad was very very good. HOWEVER NOT $200 good. Talk about highway robbery and gouging. I called James BBQ to place a pickup order of 4lbs of pulled pork, 2lbs of tator salad, a rack of ribs, a quart of baked beans, a pint of slaw and 12 buns. Was never told what the price would be when I placed the phone order. When ask about the price Mr James said he didn’t know exactly off the top of his head but he could have it ready in 25 mins. The bill was $200 when my son got there to pick it up. I know son should have left when he was told the price. However we have had meals in the past that cost way more than this and my son knows that if dad wants something price is not an issue for really good food, BUT BBQ is not one of those food items worth $200. Maybe a nice 42oz Bone In Ribeye or Waygu beef but not BBQ.
I have had this same exact meal from a family owned BBQ restaurant just as good if not better just north of Clearwater called Rons for $64. My family use to order this same meal at least once a week. To me this is no mistake. This was pure robbery and price gouging and in my opinion taking advantage of the current crisis in the country with his pricing. Had this not occurred my family and I would have ate there most likely at least once a week. So to Mr James. You gouged my family once for $200, but over the next year just lost $3000 or more dollars from us alone and that does not include others trust me I will warn of your shady business practices.
