For over 20 years my husband and I have annually visited our long time Village of Winifred friends. We’ve experienced excellent and mediocre restaurants. On this last vacation night, we decided on this place. We were pleasantly greeted and after waiting a short time, escorted to a booth. From start to finish, my husband’s
food choices were bland bordering on awful. Our young female server had us waiting overly long time periods-not getting our friend’s wine order correct, and spilling one of two ala carte soup servings on the table and onto my husband’s knee. My miso soup was bland and only tepid; but we’d waited so long, I ate it anyway.
My husband ordered a spicy salmon roll which was dull and flavorless. When we were first was approached by the server, we’d ordered edamame. After asking three times where it was, and each time being told “it’s coming,” it finally came with our entrees. My husband had ordered shrimp chop suey. When his plate was delivered, it came with chicken. He told the server and she said she’d check with the kitchen. She never returned-and because he was hungry, my husband ate the flavorless dish anyway. When it came time to pay our bill, there was no offer of compensation for all the mishaps, and the server had a less than pleasing attitude. The only reason I gave two stars was my night’s special fried grouper was delicious; and our embarrassed long time resident’s entrees were delicious.
The young lady server definitely needs training on customer service!

This was a very good restaurant. We dont have many asian restaurants in the Villages. The taste of food was always tasty until.....
We went there Wednesday. Prices went up and it had many add ons that used to be part of the dinner. WE ordered the ribs appitizer. It was full of fat aweful. The dinner we had ...had no taste. I had beef dinner. The meat was tough. My wifes dish of shrimp dinner ,also had no taste. What happened? Did they change chefs? We certainly wont be going back. Waste of money.

Food was horrible. I can say it was the worst sushi I have ever eaten. Place could use some updating, very dingy and poor lighting.

We've been here many times and have ways been very pleased with the food and service. My favorite item on the whole menu is Tom Kah Gai. Best version I have ever tried. The sushi and sashimi and excellent. We love the atmosphere and bring family and visitors here often.

The food was very good. We had a new server and it showed. But we were all new to a job at some point and that’t the way I looked at it. The owner looked after us and went around to all tables. Couldn’t ask for better customer service than that. Going back again tonight with friends.

We went to bamboo bistro for our friends birthday our waitress ashia was awesome very attentive and friendly the food was hot and delicious

Ok, where do I start, First we sat for probably 7or 8 minutes before we were introduced to a waitress. Then I asked for water and hot tea, no water and barely warm tea. Then came the soup, cold. The dinner, 12 dollars for two dollars worth of food. The service was awful, food was cold. I knew when we went in on a Friday night at 7:30 and the place was almost empty, that should have been a clue. The place was dirty, and the cup for the warm tea, smelled like soap. I know its a little bit of a drive, but Fancy Sushi in Clermont, Awesome, same type of food but always hot, the soup is delicious, and the service is great. We figured we would go and try someplace different, Bamboo Bistro made it so we never try different again... Its not so much the complete waste of money, but the sad part is the hour I can't get back, plus the bad taste in our mouths...
