I live within 5 miles of the original Essex Seafood in Essex, MA and cannot believe it is just as good here in FL.

March 21, 2010 I went to the restaurant I had people from Fl, New York and my self from Essex and Gloucester, MA
At 3 in the afternoon it was very busy we were seated right away by a very nice waitress she took our Beverage order and was back in a few moments when we gave her our food order. In a short amount of time of ordering "Twin Lobster Dinner" she came with one Lobster each She told us when you are done with the one Lobster she will bring the other one over which will be very hot for us.
The food was very good and the service was excel ant. I will be sure to go back again. I suggest that you stop in if you are in the area.

Expecting to find a good seafood restaurant in Florida, especially for a New Englander is next to impossible. However, friends of mine suggested the Essex Two Restaurant. My friend and I almost passed this restaurant as it's very plain from the outside. The food, however, is not! We both ordered the fried clam dinner, expecting to probably get good fried clams, but nothing to rave about. Were we ever surprised when our dinners came! The fried clams were fresh and better than anything that we've ever had, even in New England; the portions were so large that we had to take a doggie bag home; the price was fair; the service was excellent and "homey" and we left raving about our meals. This restaurant is absolutely the best and I can't wait to return to Florida to have the best seafood ever!

New England seafood is here in Florida! Authentic as can be. Couldn't ask for more unless I was in Essex, MA itself.
