Great Ice Cream, but I could do without the BS!
When we asked about the styrofoam cups he was about to plop our ice cream into, the Owner Dan, flat out lied to us and told us that they were a green sustainable Ice Cream Company.... he pointed to a hand painted sign and said, "See, we're certified green & sustainable!"
Dan told us that the cups were made of corn-based paper and are totally recyclable! Well that didn't match up when we thought about it, because corn-based cups are compostable, not recyclable—so we pulled a couple of cups from their trash can outside and looked up the code with our iphone. They turned out to be DART 6SV12 (White styrofoam food bowls)!
Makes me wonder if Dan's "Specialty Ice Cream" is not actually 5 gal. tubs purchased at Walmart.
I recommend calling Dan on his 'Truth'. Ask him why his $10 ice cream is topped with so much bull$&!%....
Peace
