Get the Tempeh Spare Ribs.
You won't believe how wonderful a meat alternative can taste.
And the serving is so big you get to take home the other part of the meal you couldn't eat and it tastes even better cold the next morning!!!
This woman can cook!!!!!
5 Stars.

Everytime I go in here, the service is slow. It doesn't matter if I order food or if I'm just paying for groceries. Any of the staff, including the owners, are not friendly and do not provide a welcoming environment. I've been vegan for over 15 years. I rely on my local markets, and this is one that I wouldn't shop at or rely on.

I LOVE this place. The owners are the sweetest people. The food is fantastic.. love all the vegan options. I think a few products in the store are over priced. They lose points sometimes because of new people service-wise.. the newer employees I mean. I love the environment.. it is a homey, relaxing, quaint little cafe.

The prepared vegan food is top notch. This shop appears to be the only vegetarian/vegan fresh food source in Jersey City. Prices are kind of high. I wish the owners, Yvonne and Nilsa (sisters) would take a larger space, keep the cafe and expand the intventory. The prices could come down and we could keep out Whole Foods forever.

I love everything about Subia - the food, the people, the atmosphere - everything. I walk there every Saturday and Sunday to enjoy a nice brunch and do some shopping. Products they sell are all hand-selected for quality and the food they prepare is so tasty. Try the vegan BLT and the blueberry smoothie (#2), the combination is to die for!
Service can sometimes be a little slow, but one has to be understanding - this is a neighborhood cafe - not McDonalds! So when they get busy, there are only so many hands there to prepare dishes from scratch and a wait is expected.
