Visited here on 01/24 at an event for Grand Mission. Cashier was an unprofessional airhead. By reports the food was subpar.
Tried to use a visa gift card for transaction. Cashier asked me for my zip code. (What face to face merchant ask for a zip code?) This was suspicious because zip codes are only asked for with over the phone transactions and online orders. Cashier stated that my card was declined. I informed him that that the card was possibly declined because there was no zip code associated with the gift card.
The cashier became hostile and repeatedly asked if I wanted to “do his job” I informed hIm that I had no desire to do his job, I was just giving him an explanation for why it possibly didn’t work so the issue could be fixed. He continued to be rude and nasty. I explained to him that there was no reason to be ugly about the situation and asked him to be professional.
If the cashier was a professional and has any common sense he would know that the card was not working because he wrongly registered his company as an ONLINE VENDOR , because of this only REGISTERED gift cards can be used regardless of whether it is visa or MasterCard.
The gift card not being accepted was not a big deal, I could always use another form of payment. I chose not to do business with this merchant because I will not patron a business that does not have good customer service.
I will be forwarding my concerns to my HOA.
