Ordered a to go order, the lady who answers the phone very rude, all she did was complain how short staffed they were, when I got to the restaurant to get my food she purposely ignored me and just stood around talking with people at the bar, the cook staff had to give me my food while I waited 10 min for her to accept my credit card. Once I got home the burger was very under cooked I could not eat raw meat. very disappointing service.

We ordered takeout. A steak sandwich a whole steak on it not cut up. And a hamburger. With tater tots. $30 later, get it home to find the tater tots we're either really warmed up there was all crunchy. I had to feed most of it to my dog. It was gross. And they asked if I was local. I would not eat at this place ever again. Also when I called in my order the gal that answered the phone was a real snob

My wife and have been to fort ground grill many times and have always had great food and service. Wish we could eat there morning, noon and night.. We Love it..

Awesome local spot for food and drinks. I took my 2 year old daughter here for breakfast every Saturday for daddy and daughter time and we were catered to. All the servers were fantastic and Annette stood out. Breakfast is fantastic, the fish and chips are BEST in town. DO NOT hesitate to eat here. I've also taken my out of town family here numerous times.

I love going to brunch/lunch here. Their omelets are awesome, as are the hash browns, biscuits, and sausage gravy. The Reuben sandwich is the best in town and their fries are perfect. We have always had great service here.

Last Memorial Day, I took my family there for brunch, as I have for several years.
The waitress spilled hot tea water on me and my almost year old granddaughter's head. who was sitting on my lap. The baby screamed, as you can imagine! Her mother reached across the table and poured a glass of cold water over her head. She was finally comforted, and we ate our food, which was delivered by another waitress. That was the end of it. I paid my bill and we left. There was no offer of recompense made, barely an apology and I am still upset over the incident

Being that it was my first time there with my family, my In-Law's asked if they served minors, and the Waiter scoffed and in a low tone said: "Yeah, for food." The place looked like a bar from the outside with all it's neon lighting and exterior of the building. I am currently 20 and my daughter who was 15 MO's at the time we're the under age participants.
All the employee's seemed like they had a problem with serving you or taking an order for you, they even hit my daughter in the head with a child's menu. They also promised to bring her a tiny box of crayons and a coloring paper, but never followed through with this. And to throw it out there, it was not even busy.
My wife had French Onion soup that looked like it had sat in a pot for hours, and my Spicy Burger was in no way spicy. My daughter's grilled cheese sandwich was dry and all she ate we're the fries and some dill pickles along with onions....off my Father in law's burger.
At one point the employee's we're just walking around in the back talking and drinking Rockstar Energy drinks and about 30 minutes later out came our food.
They said they would make coffee, which they did...but it took them 15 minutes to bring out two cups of coffee and when asked initially if they could brew it, they turned their backs not saying a word.
The TV in the family lounge area had bad reception, the TV kept turning purple and green and going back to the Mariner's game that was on at the time.
And a place that serves food to customers should keep the area at a comfortable heat, this place was just hot as hell, but of course the bar was AC'd.
If you want good food, service, and a comfortable atmosphere, please visit the Blue Plate Cafe in Hayden Lake near the golf course.
Fort Ground failed, and I will never return.

We have eaten there numerous times and always had a good experience! Tasty food, friendly service, relaxing atmosphere. The omelettes have been fantastic, and the dinner plates (I usually order the salmon with veggies) also really good. Fort Ground Grill is on our list of regular spots to eat out.

Great atmosphere and food was amazing. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Im not sure why everyone is complaining about waiting. We got our order in and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. Awesome place and will be returning on a regular basis.

Ive been here many times and the food is really good. Breakfast is the best, I think one of the best in town! It is kind of slow sometimes but its hit and miss, there have been times I was in and out for lunch in less than 50 minutes. If you have time and don't have to be anywhere then you should be good to go. I have never had a bad meal at the Fort Grounds. I do agree that they could be speedier with orders sometimes and checks. But the food is excellent

The only thing that was fast was being shown to our table. We waited for the server, then waited some more for our drinks, than waited some more to place our order and than waited some more for the food. When it arrived it was average at best and luke warm in temperture. the final straw was waiting for 20 minutes after requesting the check and being charged for drinks we didn't order. this place is to be avoided at all costs.
