My husband and I had purchased four discounted gift certificates for the Sanford Pat's Pizza online. $12.50 for a $50.00 gift certificate. It sounded like a great deal- now we know why. $50 worth of food from this place isn't worth $5! We tried it once late last year. The restaurant is dark and smelly. It took us an hour and a half to be seated, place our order and get our food. We were one of only two occupied tables! The food was mediocre at best. We decided to give it one more try last night. We called in an order for 3 pizzas to be picked up. We called at 4:10 to pick up for 5. At 5:25 we finally walked out with three undercooked pizzas. The pizza the bill as "the works-9 pounds of pizza" was barely more than 9 ounces. This is the worst pizza I have ever had. We threw away the remaining gift certificates. Pat's should require this restaurant to change their name because they are nowhere close to the quality of food and service available at other Pat's!!!

I only gave one star because 0 wasn't an option!
My Mother and I ate at Pat's in Portland 2 weeks ago and both the food & the service was excellent. They had a dessert we really wanted to try, but we were too full after our lunch. A few days later we decided to stop at the Pat's in Sanford, pretty close to where we were staying, just for coffee and that specific dessert. The service was absolutely horrible! We waited well over 5 minutes just to get seated, and there was a total of 2 tables in the entire restaurant, one of which hadn't even been greeted yet.. even the wife at the table looked at us and mouthed "this is terrible." Eventually we were seated and I told the waitress we were only there for dessert & coffee, she told us they didn't carry the dessert we wanted but told us what they did have, then she placed menus on our table and said she'd be back. We decided we'd try something else since we were already there, so we sat there and waited..and waited.. and waited.... My Mother was becoming increasingly annoyed, while I sat there making excuses for the waitress. I had been in the service industry for years, working in busy, fast-paced restaurants in the tourist town of Destin, FL, so I understand that one demanding table can put you in the weeds. I sat there saying 'she's young' and 'maybe she's new at this' and 'maybe that table is too demanding.' After over 5 minutes of sitting there the cook walked out to seat a couple that had just walked in, he walked past our table twice in the process and never said a word to us. After seating the couple, he walked to the table that had been seated since before we arrived and asked for drink orders. The waitress came out of the back looking like she was about to go to that table but saw the cook taking their drink orders & I thought 'finally, it's our turn!' As soon as she saw the cook taking orders she proceeded to bus a table that had been empty and dirty since before our arrival. That was the last straw! I was absolutely shocked & appalled, and could not make any more excuses for her! We stood up, and on our way out, I said to her 'well thank you very much.' She looked at us like she was shocked but never said a word! If I had ever forgotten about a table I would've followed them to the parking lot begging for them to come back in and offering dessert on the house! We certainly weren't looking for free dessert, but great customer service and hospitality is a necessity in the service industry! We went down the road to Applebees and enjoyed a great dessert and fabulous service!

Food was great! Suprised by variety of wing flavers and burger options. Fries were handcut and the best around Sanford. Food came out quick. Way better than last time I stopped in. Pleasantly suprised.

This place used to be a nice, family restaurant with good food and great service. These new owners are idiots...the food is horrible and the service....well...let's just say that most of the workers (when there are actually workers present and you're not waiting 20 minutes to get served) have no customer service skills. Stay away...the food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere is horrible.

Hey Jackass, you wouldn't have gotten hit with a cue ball if you hadn't tried to lick the bud light i spilled out of the felt. Your ugly mug caused me to lose $200 on that game. Now i have to send my kids to school with paper bags on their feet instead of sneakers.

And don't try to make up stories that you wife had to leave in ambulance. Everyone saw you get arrested for trying to molest one of the waitresses.

Go back to mass you retard.

I have never had such an unpleasant experience at a restaurant. My son, daughter, and myself visited Pat's Pizza in Sanford a few weeks ago. I have visited several Pat's Pizzas farther north, and expected the same quality of food and service. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The waitress was more interested in talking than waiting on us. Everything we ordered was either incorrect or missing part of the order. For example, my daughter and I ordered pasta dishes which were supposed to come with garlic bread, it took 3 requests to finally get it, and then it was gross. We requested Parmesan cheese, and our dinner was cold by the time she brought it over. I ordered Chicken Parmigiana, and the chicken was plopped on a plate full of spaghetti with no sauce. Ten minutes later she finally brought a side of marinara. There were no spices or garlic used, so I decided to take the rest of my meal home so I could spice it up. I asked for a to go box, and she spent a great deal of time talking again. I flagged her down and reminded her I asked for a box, so she brings me one with a great big hole in it. Needless to say, I didn't take the rest home. The bill came to $42.00 and none of us had anything worth paying for. This is the one time in my life that I did not leave a waitress a tip, but I could not see rewarding someone for such poor service.

Me and my fiance always go to Pat's Pizza in Ellsworth Maine, probably some of the best food we've ever had, not to mention the nice waitstaff! We were glad to hear there was a Pat's in Sanford, closer to our hometown and decided to try it. I never knew that two places could be so different. The menu was totally different than in Ellsworth, our waitress never even told us her name, she just put our menus down on the table and walked off. She messed up on both me and my friends orders and when my fiance went to go get her attention to let her know, all she could say was "Are you talking to me? What do you mean I got her order wrong?" Then finally came to our table and whispered under her breath "Christ" and took my food away. My friend waited for 40 minutes to get her tuna melt..Which they confused for a veggie melt. When she finally received her meal, it was on a white non toasted piece of bread, scoop of tuna, a slice of tomato and one slice of melted cheese. No sides or anything for 7.99. Even after all our food issues were settled, the food was disgusting. We hardly ate any of it and she just came over and took it away, without even asking if it tasted OK, like a normal waitress would do it you only took like two bites of your food. She never offered us refills for our drinks, and she never even asked how our food was! Avoid the Pat's Pizza in Sanford Maine, save your time and money. Take a trip to Bar Harbor sometime and go to Pat's in Ellsworth, you won't be disappointed. We will NOT be returning to the one in Sanford, even if it was free.
