We just picked up crawfish bisque and shrimp gumbo and when I opened the two containers they had a smell like McCormick Brown Gravy packs that you buy at the grocery store. To top it off I had maybe 5 crawfish in my container and I ordered a large. They were also very skimpy on the amount of rice given. I ordered extra rice. Looks like somebody ate most of it out of the cup. I'm usually very easy to please, but this was horrible. What happened to the old Don's.

I just wanted to recognized your staff for the wonderful service they gave as I celebrated my Mother's 75th birthday. Ally and Jade were excellent hostesses. They made every guest feel very welcomed. I thank them both for that. Especially Ally she assured me the night would go well. I cannot describe the impeccable service that Danielle and Levi provided to a party of 25+ people. They both were were extremely kind and friendly to every guest. They never missed a beat in keeping up with every guest request. I thank them both for their level of professionalism. Thank you Danielle and Levi for your service and thanks to Don's for allowing me to make this event possible. The semi private room was the perfect atmosphere for this event. Lee thank you as well. The food was very good.

Had 1/2 fried 1/2 Etouffee crawfish plate. Fried was excellent but the Etouffee was really terrible. It was mostly water over rice with few crawfish tails. Whoever cooked that Etouffee should be ashamed and should not be in any kitchen. Wife had a crab dish and it was hard to find the crab meat in the dish. I think Jimmy needs to crack down on that chef and require him to learn how to put out a good cajun meal.

One visit while on vacation and we will never return.
First the food was horrible. Over fried crab cakes and very expensive. Raw oysters were the only thing that was good but the charbroil sampler were shrunk down and full of bread crumb filler. Overpriced Mrs. Pauls type food. Long John Silvers would be better if they served alcohol. Go to Abbeville, La. for better seafood at reasonable prices. Forget Don's Seafood Hut in Lafayette.

This was my second vist recently. 1st was for oysters my whole family ate then I wait 30 or minutes for the oysters to arrive. Then on my 2nd visit was for boil crawfish OMG after waiting and hour and a half they arrived over cook, soft, to salty couldn't eat them. So I sent them back. This place has gone down so much latly

Once upon a time it was good. No longer. The prices in the last year have gone up 30% and the food was terrible. Only certain dishes looked good, but overpriced. Forget the seafood platter, it should be called small platter and at $23. I ordered stuffed flounder at $18. What I got was a half of a potato and a fish pattie that looked like a cheeseburger. The shrimp and crab stuffing was only bread and there was no fish (1/4"of fish, 4" by 4", covering the bread. All hard as a rock. I had to send it back and the other dishes at our table of 8 looked so bad I did not reorder. Forget this place. Its bon temps have passed.
