To use the word horrible would be kind to this place. I had seen Dimitri's so many times while driving down East Washington, and decided to give it a try with a few of my co-workers. First impressions were not good. as soon as we entered, the guy at the counter was rude to say the least. The first thing the A#@hole said was, "Know what you want before you get to the register." Seriously? Then my gentleman friend went to place his order which he paid for with debtit card, and the guy proceeded to tell him he'll have to sign the receipt, "This ain't McDonalds." was the counter person's unneccessary remark.

Then he looked at me...no hello, just "What do you want?", unbelievably rude this guy was. When my next co-worker placed his order the guy asked, "Where the hell do you all work?" Really? And it wasn't said in a nice way. THis guy was completely rude. And not in a funny 'Soup Nazi" kind of way. Just unceremoniously rude.

A second gentleman that was working the grill at the time served us our food. Truly he was the only saving grace for this restaurant (If I dare call it that) he was polite and quick.

Unfortunately the food was bland and tasteless. The meat was mealy and had no flavor, the Tzaziki sauce looked like mayo with some cucumber bits thrown in, and there were more onions than meat. Temperature-wise the food was warm, but not the service or the dining room. If you want a good gyro, DON'T GO HERE. Not worth the price for what you get.

Just left with a Gyro to go. Lots of meat, tomatoes, onions, and sauce. Great Sandwich!

Wow - I am so sad to say this because I have always really loved Dimitri's - especially their Spanikopita! But we orded from there today for lunch - I had the Spanikopita and I bit in to a Burned Filtered Cigarette Butt!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!! It was horrible! We called Dimitris just to let them know - we wern't looking for a refund because I don't beleive they make the Spanikopita there. We just wanted to let them know so they can contact their vendor. The guy who answered was very laid back about it - not the response we were looking for at all. Sorry Dimitri's - this was my last visit.

The women at the register never smiles, it almost seems as if its a bother when you go in. Myself and many of my co-workers have gotten this impression from her on more than 1 occasion.

Dimitri's has the best gyros around. Severing size is very large. Staff is nice and is generally a great place to pick up dinner and go. They do have a sit down area. It is dated but clean.
