I've gone to the Olive Garden off and on since it first opened. The "Red Lobster" formerly occupied the building. One of the things I like the most is the lunch-size portion of the Chicken Parmigiana. I try to get there between 2-4 PM when they don't seem to be as busy. Another favorite is one of their soups, the
Pasta e Fagioli. The description on the menu is as follows: White and red beans, ground beef, tomatoes and tubetti pasta in a savory broth. It's a meal all by itself. I also like the breadsticks.
My favorite dessert by far is the Tiramisu, which is creamy custard and sweet cocoa
over espresso-
soaked ladyfingers.
I love the cappuccino with biscotti at the Olive Garden. It's the absolute best I've had anywhere (Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts). I think part of the appeal is savoring all of its goodness in an actual mug, not in a paper cup.
One selection that I've been meaning to try is the 'Five Cheese Ziti al Forno' that's described as "an
oven baked blend of Italian cheeses, pasta and our signature homemade five cheese marinara."
Of course, the spaghetti with marina sauce is always good.
I'll never forget the time that a waitress was walking in my direction carrying a tray, and she had turned around to look behind her just as I was leaving. It was a recipe for a minor disaster. I was wearing a white shirt and the glasses of red wine on the tray toppled over and spilled all over my clothing, most notably on my shirt. I was left pretty much speechless. That was decades ago
and I'm not holding it against them. At the time, I just said, "Don't worry about it."

Love the food at the Olive Garden.. What i have ordered A LOT in the past is an appetizer called Sicilian Scampi. Has shrimp, garlic white wine sauce and is served on toasted bread. I ask often when it's coming back!!! Please, please, please BRING IT BACK. It is soooooo delicious!!! Thank you.

We ate at Olive Garden on Easter & it’s been bothering me since so thought I would share details—server took our drink orders-only soda & water, brought bread sticks —NO BREAD PLATES, brought our lasagna fritters had to use our bread plates, when she delivered our dinners—she brought 4-out of six, no follower& then brought out the next two meals, let them sit on the tray while she attended the table across from us & of course one/ my meal had cooled off, asked for it to be warmed up, instead the kitchen made a new one, nice thought but by the time she brought it out the rest of my family was finished & ATE ALONE!! Then we decided to take my meal & leftovers home!! Our table was out back in a small 3-4 table station, yes the Mgr. did a check on us but I had not began eating my re-make, so being tired I neglected to inform the Mgr. Our check was about $224, in my grandson’s name - Cody Marquis, we tipped her $40, even though the screen said $44-tip, was my idea to leave even that much after all it was Easter! I prefer Macaroni Grill when it comes to chain "Italian" restuarants. But in a pinch - when you are looking for a decent pasta dinner, Olive Garden is consistently good. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good food, and fairly reasonable prices.
