excellent food and atmosphere

I have never had such bad service at a restaurant. We went to Bonsai Teriyaki & Sushi Medford, OR 4 adults and 2 children in their menu it reads in bold red letters large parties charged 18% gratuity no mention of how many a large party is, then we get the bill on the bill it says we will be charged 18% for more than 6 people and that was charged. No it did not say 6 people or more it is more than six people. When we questioned the waitress about it she was extremely rude picked up the bill and we asked her to read it she read it she said yeah more than six people count how many people you have… she literally sat there and yelled at us in front of everyone while the manager and the rest of the workers sat there and laughed. They should be incredibly embarrassed by the way she acted. Never again will we or will I ever recommend this place as this brunette waitress was unlike any other waitress. If you want good service or any service at all do not go there. The food was great so it’s sad they allow someone to act in such a childish way. Not only that most people give more than that for a tip so that’s not the problem it’s being charged when we didn’t even have more than 6 like it said.

Im just disgusted with the brunette waitress that works there. I ordered a couple sushi rolls. And she named them as she put them down so we knew what each one was. She said "heres the yummy roll". I said I"sorry but we didn't order that". She goes "yes you did". I said "no we ordered a forever young roll". She continued to argue that she " already had this made, and can't she just bring out the other stuff that was in the roll I ordered and put it on top?" And kept insisting that is what she heard. And I said "no I'm sorry that is not what we ordered can you please bring me the roll I ordered instead?" She walked around the back where the chefs are and very quickly brought me a sushi roll. She had the damn nerve to bring me that same exact sushi roll out with fish on top of it and tried to act like it was a new roll and what I had originally ordered. I was so pissed she can back over to our table and I confronted her and I said "this is the same roll you brought me out 3 minutes ago, did you seriously try to give me back the same roll that I didn't order and try to pass it off as a totally different sushi roll and didn't think I would notice?" I asked for a manager and I was told there was no one in charge there. And I asked for the check and boxes, we didn't feel comfortable anymore, it was so akward and rude and sketchy. I didn't want to stay any longer and neither did my fiancee. I used to go here all the time. My office I work for used to order big group orders for lunch. I will be passing along this experience and hopefully this is help other people. I don't plan on going back somewhere where I can't trust the people who cook and serve my food.
