The Grand Buffet Restaurant in Montevideo provides a wide selection at a reasonable cost. Local business people come in for lunch because it is quick and many families are attracted in the evening because of the price and selection. The owners manage to keep the food warm and fresh on the buffet line by keeping the quantities small and by constantly checking and replenishing the line with freshly cooked food. Our office orders take-out for noon-time staff meetings. I notice when eating there that many families like to take out for an Asian meal at home.
The Lin family has owned the restaurant since 1999 and they are very meticulous about purchasing high quality ingredients and ensuring everything is clean and fresh. They are open for lunch and dinner every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
