The best Perch and Whitefish you will find anywhere on earth!

Our family has been going to Bergers restaurant for over 45 years. We.always order the Lake Perch dinner! It is the best around if you like it lightly breaded and not greasy. The new restaurant is very nice inside. I would recommend it to anyone that likes lake perch!! 😋

Had reservation for our rehearsal dinner on a Friday. I made the reservation in person. When I arrived 3 weeks later with the bridal party in tow they informed us that they didn't take reservations on Fridays and they basically refused to serve us unless we sat at the bar. VERY rude and unocomidating. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone for my reason. They told me I was a liar, and lied to my face about making the reservation.

My son likes the kids meal, hamburger and fries. After all the place is names Burgers. I like their perch dinners with German potato salad and fries I think the meal is a good value. As far as their pies goes, we can't comment to much as we can't get psst their butterscotch pie for dessert.YUM

I thought the food was okay, wait staff was excellent, my biggest problem was the management. It does take a brain surgeon to run a restaurant. The owners or managers of this restaurant were horrible, unfriendly, rude, and to say the least trashy! Employees are what make or break a company, they are on the front line and are the ones who represent your restaurant. When customers can see management treating employees with out respect its devastating to a business. You should be ashamed of yourself. Embarrassed. My waitress was in tears because of the way management treated her and I will not be back. Learn to treat people the way Jesus would treat you and maybe then will I think coming back to your dump of a restaurant.

I gave it a 5 star because for the type of restaurant it is, they do a great job. Been going there on and off for forty five years. I always enjoy the food and feel it is a great value. It is not a gourmet restaurant but there are a lot of locals that eat there on a regular basis. I have usually had lunch there but tonight we are going for dinner!

I have been at Berger's just about every week at least once a week since I started classes at Delta, in spring 2010. I have yet to have a bad meal. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, they have a good variety and it is a great break from fast food. Also their homemade pies are wonderful. During all the construction on 84 they were inconvenient by MDOT alot. If you haven't been there in the last year you should stop by. The wait staff is friendly and check on you often.

Previous poster was right on with the comments about bread basket. I personally prefer white to the light rye, but no choice, also butter is colder than ice cubes. Good food overall though.

I have been coming to Berger's for years. I like a family owned business vs. the typical chains. The food as always been excellent, as has the service. I still consider it one of the best places to eat int the tri-city area.

I went yesterday after not being there for many years. My meal included a "bread basket." They brought a brown plastic basket with one piece of wheat bread in it; for some reason I thought it would be rolls and more than one. It was ridiculous. Soup was a choice, but did not include all the soups; only the creamed ones, which I dislike. The perch was good, however, $9.79 for a perch dinner with a slice of wheat bread, was not worth it. I do not recommend.

I think the person who commented here needs to take a grammar class; horrific!

The food is good; the service is good. Thank you.

great food and service but, owners don't treat employees with any respect as if there there less than them! We ate there and everything was great. Until we seen one of the owners putting the employees down on a white message board seen from the swinging kitchen door which told them that some of the things they were doing wrong then calling them morons! We will not be nor have we been in there since.
