Ive eaten at Sahara maybe ten times total and every time it has been really good food. I've ordered the same thing every time with no complications and no questions. All of the sudden today I go there and nobody knows what I want and nobody knows what I'm talking about! After finally figuring out what it was I wanted to order I got my food and I left only to discover down the road That the chicken pita I order had almost completely bland chicken on it and the pita bread was so soggy, it was like wet dough! I called they Sahara immediately and asked to speak to the owner and when he got on the phone I knew instantly he had an attitude! He answered the phone with a very short and unprofessional tone! When I proceeded to tell him what the problem was he proceeded to argue with me! Just like the other person In a previous review... He asked me, "what do you want me to do?" "I want you to apologize for serving me a $9 Soggy pita!" I told him! I didn't even believe it first I was speaking to the owner...I thought it was just some punk kid that was working there that was pretending to be the owner! I've never been treated like that by a business owner and I'm a business owner myself and I would never talk to any of my customers that way! I can't even begin to explain how rude he was to me....he even laughed at me at one point! No matter how good the food has been in the past, I will never return to that place! For those of you who have been getting good food and giving good reviews...if you ever do get your food wrong and need to speak to the owner about it, be prepared because you'll never be expecting it!

Omg! Just ate here for the first time and I must say I was very impressed! Got the most delicious gyro ever for under 5 bucks and the strawberry shake was delicious ! Had very fast service by friendly staff. Will be returning for sure!

This is the first and last time I will ever eat at this place!!!! First the messed up my order and extremely over charged me. I called to ask as to why I got charged 8.43 on a gyro and a little side of hummus (and by little I mean the cups the use to put salad dressing in)? The manager was over the top rude about the situation and didn’t want to hear what I had to say. He claimed that was the combo order and that he couldn’t do anything about it. He basically told me if I wanted it fixed I needed to bring the order back to the store and wait for a new order to be done. I couldn’t explain myself to him whatsoever. He flat out told me do what I have to do and hung the phone up on me. This man shouldn’t deal with people what so ever. I’m thinking that they are overcharging people without them knowing. I couldn’t believe the way he was talking to me and I just smack him in the face!!!!

We have been going here for years and always enjoyed it. My husband and I had some out of town guests over for lunch and ordered from Sahara thinking it was going to be great as usual..... NOT!!!!! First of all, they got my order wrong, called to let them know, drove back to get corrected order, got home, found out they screwed order up again by not adding feta cheese. Called manager and he had a BAD attitude about the entire situation, like it was our fault . Last, but not least, three out of four of us got sick, BAD MEAT. Called manager AGAIN, his response was, " what do you want me to do about it" !!!! Are you serious, this is how you handle serious problems with your customers!!!!! GET A NEW MANAGER because the one they have now is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give this place 5 stars for the good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. If you are looking for a sit-down meal or fast food, this isn't the place. You order your food at the window outside, then find a seat either outside or in the shed-like building that seats 30-40 people. The tables and chairs look as though they were bought at a garage sale. So, when I eat there, which is often, I know what to expect a very good meal. Also, thought they have a sign reminding customers that they don't serve fast food, it's not slow either. I would say that we've never waited more than 10 minutes to get our meals.

I have been going to Sahara for many years, until I had a dispute on my debit card with them and the manager was extremely rude and told me to basically shut up and hung up on me and would not work on the situation at all. They put the transaction in and over charged by $3... so i am thinking that they are over charging people without them knowing.
The manager don't know his name, but was not friendly, very very rude, would not let me talk and said he couldn't help me and that he was going to hang up, and he did

I have been going to Sahara's for years! The food is awesome and always fresh. Sometimes you judge things based off the overall look of a restaurant. My favorite is there chicken pita with cucumber sauce.. YUMMY !!!
I have told all my friends about this place and everyone who tries there food get's hooked.
It is a little bit away from everything but worth the drive and wait. I can't wait to get my hands on there pita today... Stop by you'll really enjoy their food.

Just ate there and it awesome. Took me 7 years of being in Wilmington to finally try it last month. Since then, I've had it 3 times. Special today was a turkey/vegie pita, side and a drink for $4.99. Can't beat it. Try it!!!

What a gem!! Simplicity is a virtue....the Greek pita/Greek salad/drink lunch combo was a true value and simply delicious...absolutely delicious!!!
The Rueben sandwich/Greek salad/drink combo was equally value laden and absolutely delicious...the corned beef must be of the highest quality!!! Aperfect amount of food for lunch.
Our order taker with the beautiful brown eyes was very helpful. We were not familiar with the menu and the line to order was fairly long so we were greatful for her assisatnce at the peak of lunch hours.
We were lucky to find a table on the new deck under the pergola on a perfectly beautiful March 14th....so all was right with the world, including rather quick delivery of our order by a very pleasant smiling waitress.
This wonderful simlple meal gave our trip back to West Columbia SC a great send-off.
We have already recommeded the Sahara to our daughter who makes several trips a year to Wilmington from Athens Ga
A return visit to the Sahara on next trip to Wilmington will be in store. We want to sample more.
