I have been going to Java Connection for over 20 years. Yesterday I went in to meet friends for lunch. The girl at the counter was THE MOST IGNORANT person I have ever dealt with.
I stepped up to the counter with my proof of vaccine in one hand and my ID in the other, she asked me what I wanted. I said, the sign says I have to show proof of vaccine. " she says, "I need to see your ID." I showed my ID. She says, "what do you want?" At this point I wanted to walk out but had friends waiting.
I noticed something called a Snowflake Latte on the board and asked what was in it. She said, "it's on the board". The glare from the window obscured that part of the board, so I maneuvered until I could see it and ordered one, then I asked for a tuna wrap and the French onion soup. She asked me something but I couldn't hear her so I leaned forward and said, "pardon me?" She said, "Do you want it heated or cold?" I said "heated, please"
She then wrote up the ticket and laid it next to the cash, she rang up the amt and didn't even move the console toward me. I had to reach in and get my ticket and pull the console toward me so I could tap my card. She moved to the other cash and said, "can I help who's next please?"
If you can't treat people with respect AT ALL TIMES get a new job! I did nothing to her that would have warranted this treatment. There was one thing that I can think of that MAY have made her treat me this way, the person in front of me said, "just a sec" before he pushed in front of me to move away from the counter. I didn't step up right away because I thought he was coming back, but I waited less than a minute before stepping up and putting my proof of vaccine forward. I spent $25.00 on a measly soup/sandwich/coffee and treated like crap, when I was trying to be helpful and proactive with my ID.
