Solid Mexican food. They have good burgers too. It's a locals place.

I would like for others to know that Kocina De Raphael is one of the best restaurants West of the Mississippi, located in the enchanting town of Las Vegas, New Mexico land of enchantment. The food true Mexican or traditional American favorites, very large variety to select from menu. I give this restaurant a FIVE STAR.

I don't know what kind of micro-bug I contracted when I tried this place, but it had me buckled over in a fetal position for 4 days. The food was mediocre at best, but I picked at it anyway to get the most for my money. Huge mistake! I should've sent the meal back or ditched the ticket and gone to McDonald's. The owner was rude, the staff was uneducated and could barely speak proper English and the placed smelled like an unsanitized nursing home. I will never go back and could never recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy!

I love Raphaels! It has the best food in the state of New Mexico! They have the best chile Ive ever had!

The rice was dry, so I tasted the posole off my wifes plate and it was also dry. The red chile was burnt, and the green chile so uncomfortably hot that not even people that like it hot can eat it at peace. The roast beef tacos were okay, but the topper was the staff. The 50-ish lady with the hazel eyes and curly hair is so f'n rude. We were slurping the tiny droplets of our beverage off the melting ice at the bottom of the glass before we were even offered a refill. And the flies overing over my plate?? Well, I don't think I even need to say anymore. I can see that they have something good going and HUGE potential. The owners really need to retraing and refine their ambiance and staff, so it's not so ghetto and unprofessional.

Best food in town.

Rafael's is sort of a no frills place on the atmosphere and service, but the chili is awesome. I had both varieties, green and red. The green is good quality N. New Mexico fare, and the red is like no other. Both pretty spicy, and taste great. If you smothered a piece of cardboard in Rafael's chili, you'd be happy about eating cardboard...
