Service was great.

Food and experience not as good as ten years ago.

I raved to our party about the food and the house made bread that I remembered so fondly, but was seriously disappointed to find store bought Italian.
The butter was great though.

The potatoes and corn were on the cold side of luke warm and tasted like reheated leftovers, which is not the best experience for $80 per entree.

Dinner for three with drinks and shared appetizer $450.

Watch out for stuff that can make one ill. Make sure it's fresh and thoroughly cooked.

I forgot just how good this place is. Intimate, quiet, family owned featuring a delicious menu and daily specials, not to mention the over 200 different martinis for those who are so inclined. I don't drink alcohol except for a sip of champagne when the ball drops at midnight on New Years morning but our waitress was quick to suggest that the bartender would create a wonderful "mocktail" based on my particular likes. It was a winner! My wife had one of the more traditional martinis in that her drink included alcohol. The rest of it was full of fruity deliciousness. We shared the house baked breads and perused the menu as our waitress told us about the specialties of the day. I chose pan-seared jumbo scallops with homemade stuffed cheese ravioli served in a velvety sherry cream sauce which our waitress confirmed was cooked leaving no alcohol, just flavor. My wife ordered the baked lobster macaroni and cheese. We enjoyed our fresh salads topped with house made dressing: creamy blue cheese for her and peppercorn parmesan for me. We had to box our dinner leftovers which were devoured the next day, but we did order a dessert to go for later on that evening. It was a unique carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a delightful twist: chocolate chips. Can you say: yum? The entire dinner, from drinks and bread, from salads and entrees to dessert, was delicious. But don't take my word for it. Treat yourself to a lakeside ride through the country orchards and vineyards and a relaxing evening for two. Or bring along friends. They will thank you for it later. Enjoy!
