The food here is okay. I could do a lot better in my home for way cheaper. The staff is very abrasive and rude. They act like you are bothering them when you come in the door and then when you are paying! It is ridiculous. They also serve your food on Styrofoam plates. Most low class seafood restaurant I have ever visited.

The four of us come from Richmond, VA, and it's worth the trip. Their oysters on the half shell are perfect, the crabmeat platter is exceptional!

Went to see what the fuss was all about. We drove down from Virginia beach and let me tell ya the oyster bar is one Of the coolest things I have ever seen. Two men shucked at least fifty of the most plump juiciest steamed oysters in two minutes right out of the shell and into a bowl ready for me to dip in butter or cocktail sauce.. Delicious now I have to figure out how to work the drive into my schedule once a week.

Stay away from this restaurant...........it will be less crowded when I'm there.

I was born in Elizabeth City and grew up in Hertford, the adjoining town only about 13 miles away. I always look forward to my visits back home and in particular my visit to C&H Oyster Bar. The oysters and the seafood are always exceptional, the same as the people and the atmosphere at C&H. I have lived in Clarksville, TN since 1983 and really miss the days on the Carolina rivers, sounds and the Atlantic. VIsit the area and C&H. You'll be glad you did!
