I was looking forward to going to Peg's Country Cafe because I heard such great things about the food. So, my sister and I decided to go on a Saturday morning. The rudeness started as soon as we walked in, when the woman behind the counter refused to give us any eye contact and vaguely illuded that we could seat ourselves. Once we were seated our server the menus and left (she didn't greet us or tell us the specials). She returned 10 minutes later to take our order. While we waited for our food, the owner came around to all the tables to chat and see how they were doing. She mysteriously skipped our table. Our server brought my sister's order and returned with my order 5 minutes later. She never returned to ask us if everything was ok, even though we saw her check on her other tables. She came by to drop off the check and she didn't offer to refill our drinks. Once we finished our meal, we went to the register to pay. The woman behind the register was oddly cold. I paid with a credit card and once the slip was printed she slid it across the counter, ask me to write my "John Henry" and walked away. I was shocked. I left a standard 15% tip and resigned never to return.
