The rooms on the internet site look much nicer than they really are. In reality they are old fashioned and dark looking and the television was old and clunky. We reserved the room as Seniors and when we got there, we were completely surprised by the fact that there were no elevators and that they had assigned us a room downstairs. We had to carry our own luggage down a flight of stairs. Thank goodness, we are in somewhat good shape or we wouldn't have been able to get to our room. We ate at The Orchard dining room. The food and service were very good as opposed to our rooms. Not a terrible place to stay, but personally would never stay there again.

by ''accessible'' the macintosh inn means only that there is a doorway downstairs through which you can just barely fit in a smaller wheelchair. I called before going to the Inn to confirm it was accessible and was informed that it was, however that was misleading.
Warning: there are NO elevators up to the restaurant, so if you are in a wheelchair (as I am) you either have to go back outside into the cold to access the restaurant or climb the stairs. My poor husband had to carry both my oxygen tanks AND the wheelchair up to the restaurant level. Horrible experience.
The buffet "shepherd's pie'' was mushy, slimy instant potatoes over greasy hamburg with barely a smidge of corn... yuk. I ate about a tablespoon and was charged $19 for it.
Will not be staying there ever again.
