Actually Down Town Buffet was Dominican Food, a bit like Puerto Rican food. But don't confuse it.

Visited today for the 1st time and last time. The food was not good. The chicken was dried out from being reheated probably from the days before. White rice had a gray color. The fries tasted like plantain oil. The overall selection was very poor, the presentation was nasty. The bacalao in tomato sauce had no bacalao, perhaps it disintegrated while cooking. The meatballs in sauce where not all meat, not sure. The chicken soup was cold, the chicken in the chicken soup looked moldy - chicken tasted old. My kids couldn't eat. Spent my money before I sat down. When the host, cashier, busboy came to clean up some of my plates notice the food in the plates were in their entirety - he asked if everything was okay. I did not want to make him feel bad, so I just responded with dont worry about it I am out of here. I grabbed my kids and left. If you want good Puerto Rican food, go to Cidra (restaurant and supermarket) the food is delicious and the place is clean. Near by, do not know exact location but definitely in the area.
