We got New Years Eve dinner from you last night 12/31/2011 And we will never do business with you again. The food was very cold even when I picked up at the correct pick up time. The meat was dry for 51.00 dollars worth of the food it was awful and I will be sure to tell my friends about it also.

Until recently, your food has been my family's favorite for many years. However, the quality of your food recently (for the past few months) leaves a lot to be desired. Out of the last 8-10 meals that we've ordered, there was 1 that was good, and the rest have just gotten progressively worse! We ordered last night, and the boneless spareribs (although bad before) were absolutely horrid!! The fat and the gristle was the majority of the spareribs, leaving only a few bites of meat. Even the pork pieces in your pork fried rice were terribly fatty. I know times are tough, but which is worse......making a little less for meat that is edible, or losing customers all together?!?! I'd like to say that we'll stay w/ China Star for the long-haul, but our recent meal has forced us to give in to your poor quality meat, with the hope that good Chinese take out exists elsewhere in Salem, NH!

I am very disappointed with your food recently. We used to love your food but lately there isn't any flavor to it. The first couple of times we gave you the benefit of the doubt but the food has been consistently bad for the last 6 months. Please go back to your old ways before you lose more customers.

We've used you for years and our food was fine. During this last year, your Crag Rangoons are barely fried and there is no flavor in the filling. I've made my own and I know what is delicious.The rest of your menu has become bland. The last few meals we thought that there maybe a temporary gliche, such as a new cook or something. The gliche is permanent. You should look into Grand China, Lucky Corner or Chief Wok to see what is lacking in your menu. It's a shame to taste the changes over the past couple of years and realize that it is permanent.

We had shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken with peapods, pork fried rice and egg drop soup. The lobster sauce has a great flavor, so I added some to the soup. The soup has a good texture but lacks flavor. I wish they would use fresh mushrooms instead of canned mushrooms. The sauce in the chicken and peapods is good, too - and the chicken is awesome! Big, lean chunks! No cartilege! The shrimp is huge, also. Tasty overall! Good Chinese take-out.
