We have been going to to AJ's for nearly 20 years. We have never been disappointed. Service was great, nice old timey atmosphere. We have been to the one in Pismo and Buellton as well as Templeton, all three restaurants are great. Not sure about the experience Scarlette had, maybe she wanted a discount? We will always go here for a great local meal. Did I say RIB EYE?
Note: You will be told to add the salsa to the beans, makes a big difference in he taste:)

Don't waste your money, food was soooo bland, no flavor profile whatsoever.
The soup,beans n pilaf were all lukewarm @ best. No flavor at all. The waiter was nice but seemed oblivious. Service was good, but never got salad?I ordered a glass of ( house wine) which was per glass about half the price if we got a bottle... Totally felt ripped off.could have been mentioned.. After the cold sides, lack of flavor or anything... I hoped that the (grilled artichoke's) which has been a popular appetizer would be good,but again was disappointed,it was was soggy, the sauce was flavorless ,& I wasn't even sure what it was??over all bummer:(...wont be going back....
