03/13/2008 - A regular
The "Soj" has been in business consistently for 30 years, so you know they gotta be doing something right! With desserts to die for and a huge variety of daily specials, on top of their already-proven regular menu, and a really nice wine list, few places in Santa Barbara can rival it. As for "atmosphere," very few places are as friendly and home-y. If I want interior decorating instead of excellent food, there are other places, I suppose, but it's the food and the people that bring me back to the Sojourner on a regular basis. And I know I'm not alone, as over the years I've made many friends just by eating there. You can tell they treat their employees like family. The revolving art exhibits on the walls are a bonus. They are green, offer food for almost any taste and cater to dietary restrictions, and have much to be proud of. Perhaps that's what the other reviewer meant by "full of themselves." The Sojourner can boast many very loyal customers, from all over the world, and they well deserve that loyalty.

excellent vegan and vegetarian entrees

This place was once very good but always a little too full of itself. Now it's four out ot of five times a bad experience with cold entrees which were supposed to be hot, cold soup gets served and very pricey. However, they are still very full of themselves. The food can be bland but at least it's clean and most restuarants in SB are dicey.
