I've been eating at this restaurant for many years and I have never had one problem with the food or the service everything always tastes great. I recommend this restaurant

I went to this place on Thursday March 12th 2014 at around 6:00 pm. This was my first time at Maki Yaki and it will be my last. Calling this place a sushi restaurant is like saying that Taco Bell serves Mexican food or Pizza Hut is Italian food. Stay away; the food is overpriced and not all that good. The wait time for your food would be better spent watching molasses run downhill on a cold Winter's day. Don't waste your time with this place as there are much better Sushi places in town.

I didn't give it 5 stars because I just can't.
I'm from Southern CA, and the fish is just ridiculously fresh. That's 5 stars....

But----That being written, this place is my favorite of 3 years in Santa Fe, and I've tried every single sushi place out there.
Last words --- you can trust this place.
Excellent manager (owner?) always there, high quality, nice customer service (difficult to find in S.Fe I think...), excellent choices on the menu.
This is a "No-BS" review. I'm just writing it as a public service because there are some great restaurants in S.Fe, but there are a huge number of terrible restaurants. This place is very good.

I eat at Maki Yaki at least once a week. Excellent food and service. They always greet you with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant for both the value and quality of their food.

All the food I've tried here is very good. I like that Maki Yaki's hours of operation are more convenient than some other sushi places. I highly recommend Maki Yaki.

Great, healthy simple food - really good value. Recommend them to others. Also nice folks and good customer service. Always spotless, too. Really like this place. It's my new standby local restaurant.

we went to eat at Maki Yaki and were very impressed. The serving staff knew what they were doing and took very good care of us. the food was preatty good as well. they give good size portions for the price that they have. I know that i will continue to eat there often! I just wish that they would serve some Korean specials since the owner is Korean.
