Terrible service last night, steaks were undercooked, service slow. When we asked if food was coming the manager asked if if we had a plane to catch. When the steaks arrived, they were undercooked, red, cold. This was pointed out to the manager and pointed at the door and told us to go, so we did. I had out of town guests, it was awful experience.

Old Lux is a quaint little place with excellent food. Its one of those comfortable neighborhood kinds of places that doesn't focus on useless trappings but pays attention to its service and product. The waitstaff was very attentive, food was served on a pleasant pace, and was quite good. I had the fried lobster, baked potato, and salad. I've enjoyed their fare many times over the last several years and they have never disappointed.

This place is awful. These people are living in the 1950s. The dining room has not been upgraded for decades. I ordered fillet Mignon rare and it was served well, well, well done and chewy. I think I was eating someone's pet. When I requested a rare steak, the waitress got very defensive and asked me what I expected for the price. I asked to speak with the manager and the waitress told me she was the manager. It was then that I told her that the place was filthy and a disgrace. She told me to go some place else if I didn't like it, so we left and had a nice meal elsewhere. I will never go back to this place.

Looking for a local Mom & Pop place, with reasonable prices and good quality food and service? If you are willing to travel some of the back streets of Springfield this is a great place to go. Had a T-Bone and French Fried lobster tail and it didn't break the bank. The steak was a good size larger than what I had at Alexanders a few nights before and actually had better flavor. The french fried tail was a unique experience. Will probably come back to sample something on there menu the next time I am in Springfield.
