I ordered a Shock Top beer on draft..I'm not sure what they served. The waitress said it was shock top and clearly had no knowledge about beer, explained to waitress that shock top is an unfiltered beer and the beer they served me was filtered like bud, Coors, etc. The food was visually unappealing and was equally flavorless. I ordered from the vegetarian menu, cheese, iceberg lettuce and refried beans, that's it... in a buritto and on a chalupa. No onions, tomatoes, quacamole, sour cream. The menus were not too clean and my husband had to request a new fork as his was dirty. But, most disturbing was the older female worker/manager/owner walking out of the kitchen cramming a large boiled egg in her mouth then walking back in the kitchen without ever washing her hands. The sight of this made our stomachs churn

they were not busy, We were told to seat ourselves. We did. The young girl brought us chips and salsa, right away. We tried to give her our drink order, she informed us that she was not allowed to take drink orders and that someone would be right over. We waited 5 minutes. No one came over. The same girl that brought us chips and salsa was cleaning the table next to us. I asked if we were going to be served or if we needed to leave. We had sat there long enough to notice that the other waitress was occupying herself by talking to some of the more frequent customers. The young girl got her attention and the waitress finally came over and took our order. She brought us our dip and drinks, then a few minutes later our dish. We noticed when she walked away that our glasses were dirty. She never came back to check on us. She continued to socialize with other customers, not even looking our way. We waited 20 minutes for her to come over, we were going to get to-go boxes and drinks. Needless to say, we didn't get the chance to ask for it. We decided to go up to the registrar where the waitress was playing with her fingernails, I asked if she wanted us to pay or just walk out (of course, by this time, we were very frustrated!) She didn't understand why we were upset. Then, a woman, we guess is a manager, pops off with an attitude back with us. They tried to give us a gift card to return. We tried to pay. We explained to them that we didn't want a gift card because we wouldn't be back. The manager told us that was fine, to just leave. I tried to pay again (i didn't want them to call the cops and try to say we skipped out on the bill.) And the manager told us to leave. In our position, as customers, we had a good reason to be aggravated. We weren't tended to as we should have been. We were treated like trash (we don't know if it was because we weren't regular customers, or if it was discrimination because I'm fat). The manager did not know anything that was going on before she decided to get an attitude with us. The situation was handled wrong. On both parts, perhaps. However, management should also be more attentive to what their employees are doing and not leave other customers sitting in wait for long. We will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. Negative stars!

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL FOOD SUCKS AND THE SERVICE HA REALLY SUCKS TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SAME OUTCOME THEY ARE LUCKY ONLY PLACE TO EAT MEXICAN IN AREA OR THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUISNESS.

When we first tried El Giro, I was not impressed. I decided to try lots of the menu items and found a couple that I really like. Go there and find "your" favorite dish.
The gals that wait on tables are the nices bunch anywhere.
Give it another try and try something new on the menu.

Fast service and a great menu with low prices. The waitresses aren't so great at bussing tables but the owner does a wonderful job keeping everyone happy.

I love this restaurant! They have the best mexican food i have ever had. It blows el charro out of the water!!!!
