I'm pretty amazed at the reviewer who only gave this restaurant one star. There's no way they could be talking about this place! (Though, there is no pleasing some people in this world, no matter what you do....)
We are locals and have eaten here many, many times since they opened several years ago. We have never had a notable problem dining here. (I can however, give you a long list of issues we HAVE encountered with other local restaurants in the area....) The food is CONSISTENTLY fantastic, fresh, homemade (not prefab in any way, which is refreshing in itself...), reasonably priced and the service is good. They have the best iced tea around, IMO. (I'm a tea snob..., so I don't compliment lightly.)
Their fresh salsa is great- not too hot. Subtlety flavored with cilantro, seasoned perfectly and served with warm chips....add a little salt to the chips, and they're to die for!! Truly addicting! Like another reviewer, we compare all Mexican eateries with Los Plazas, as our standard. We have tried all the other Mexican restaurants in town, and none compare. We love their specials too- a nice way to try something new!
Bottom line, don't listen to the one bad review. Try them, you'll be glad you did!
The Burrito Real, Fajita Taco salad (with chicken), Beef Chimichangas and Jim Nachos are our family favs. Long Live Las Plazas!!!! :)

1-star guy must have been somewhere else and clicked the wrong button because Las Plazas is beyond amazing. No Americanization here! Excellent food choices! Exceptional food! Great service!

THIS IS THE BEST ALL AROUND MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN DICKSON. THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS FAST. THE WAITERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT! THEY HAVE THE BEST CHIPS IN TOWN, ALWAYS WARM AND NEVER BURNT.I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE DELICIOUS FOOD IN A NICE ATMOSPHERE.

OK, the guy that gave this restaurant one star is clearly a moron that works for the competition. For starters, this is the best mexican restaurant I have ever been to. When we're out of town and eat at a Mexican restaurant, we always comment how it doesn't come close to Las Plazas' food. Secondly, the servers are wonderful. They don't have a high turnover...the same servers are always there. The bathrooms are super clean. The service is great. OK, so admittedly they have a few gramatical errors on their menu because they do not speak English as their primary language. I can live with that. After all, they truly are from Mexico, which makes their food taste even more authentic. Every time we go the restaurant, they are almost all the way full, but we hardly ever have to wait for a table (a BIG plus). Some of our friends who own a catering business say that Las Plazas is the only Mexican restaurant they will eat at in Dickson. I heartily give Las Plazas five stars!!

I have been to this restaurant many times and have found it to be a pleasant experience. The servers and staff are very friendly and the service is quick and the food is good. Our favorite item is the chile rellenos dinner. It is excellent. Yes many of the servers speak Spanish as their primary language, but I find that adds to my experience. I would recommend going before the dinner rush to have the optimal experience, because as with all restaurants the volume of dining guests can effect your enjoyment of the experience...so if you go at the rush get the two for one margaritas, and ask them to bring them both at the same time.

This was the worst experience at a Mexican Restaurant. No wonder the place is always empty. Yes, there are a lot of cars in front, but that is just the workers and their kids hanging out. We couldn't understand our server, he didn't speak English well. We ordered and it took him about ten minutes to bring our food but, he didn't bring our children's food with him. He told us at that time that they were out of what we ordered for our children. So, we ordered something else for them, this was very irritating. For the adults to have food & not the children. Our food was absolutely BLAND! Gross, disgusting and not fit for human consumption! It tasted like it had been made days earlier & then simply thrown in the oven to heat it up! Nasty!! So, he never came back to ask us how it was. Only to clear the full plates and then bring the children their desert.....and that was at least 15 minutes after he cleared our table. They over-charged and we called them on it. They asked how everything was at the register, my husband said that it was disgusting. The guy laughed!! My husband said "No, really. It was disgusting my wife didn't even eat it". The guy just smiled took our money and that was it. Also, the bathrooms are sickeningly filthy, I wish that I would have ventured in before ordering. Bottom line is DO NOT eat at this filthy place... I will be contacting the Health Department. One thing about this place that made us smile...... On the receipt it states: "Gratitude not Included"!!!! What a bunch of morons! When we saw that we looked at each other & said "ahhh, that explains it all"!!
