Down home great old fashioned food! Daily specials and homemade biscuits! Best ever homemade yeast rolls at lunch too!!
Great for early bird appetites- generous portions of down home basics!
They open early and close by 2 pm sharp!

My review is I love the Pioneer Cafe in Sulphur Spring, TX. It is the best place to eat. Very friendly staff and owners. You are treated like you are welcome. It feels like home. The food is all homemade and delicious. Hommade rolls, the tea is very good. THE BEST DESSERT. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THE PIONEER CAFE IN SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX I AM IN A WHEELCHAIR AND I GO EVERY CHANCE I GET. my son Tim takes me. They all come and great you. Thank you for your time.

After seeing the reviews and word of mouth about how good the CFS was we decided to go down and have CFS & eggs Friday morn. The first thing that we noticed is how you are allowed only one refill of coffee. It is stated that on the menu. The second thing was the flies. Where in the heck were they coming from? And they were relentless. I counted 6 flies at one time on the table next to us and they just kept swarming around. They brought us our food, and was surprised to see how small the CFS was. At first I thought it was a small hamburger pattie. Then we tried it. Awful!! It was nothing but a small cubed steak with a little dusting of flour. NO batter at all, no seasonings, and overcooked. The gravy tasted like they took premade powdered gravy and added sausage grease to it. The only thing that I can recommend was the biscuits. After asking why they only allowed one refill of coffee, we were told that it was a mistake and refills were free. they seriously need to do something about the flies and fire the cook. If you can't cook scrambled eggs without scorching them, you don't need to be cooking at a cafe. We will not be going back.
