Great Food - home cooking - great service - owner is very receptive to comments and questions. The Surrey House takes a lot of pride in the way you are served and the the over all dining event. You will enjoy this fine restaurant. Our company officials meet there at least once a week to have a working lunch or diner. Thank you Surry House.

Not at all what I expected. The order was wrong when it was served and the waitress wanted to argue that she was right. DO NOT GO THERE!

It would be hard to beat the good home cooking and the laid back atmosphere that the Surrey House has. I know we have had several different waitresses the many times we have been there; and they all have been exceptionally nice!
They are becoming so popular, I think that they are having growing pains as far as getting used to a full house and being prepared for all tables filled in every room and enough waitresses, however they are adjusting very well to the enormous success and the rush hours.
They are also adding an ice cream parlor and a lovely gazebo for people to eat outdoors.
You will love this restaurant that goes back in time with early day country charm and old fashioned country cooking! I hear people come from all over to have their cornbread salad.
I think one comment is probably not true and the other negative comment may have been a waitress who was under extreme stress and pressure from rushing during rush hour trying to wait tables and check out customers at the same time and is probably a rare case. The waitress I'm sure would apologize if she realized how embarrassing this was for the customer. Better to let the owner know so they can speak with her about it because this place is really a great place to eat and I'm sure they would see to it that it does not happen again! For laid back country dining....a true 5 star place to eat!

We had a horrible experience there! I paid for a meal for my husband and I. When I was at the register, she named the items and I told her she had missed a grilled chicken salad. For both meals and drinks, I paid approx. $24.00 +. As I was walking out a lot of family and other people were lined up to pay. The helper shouted out that I had not paid for one of the meals. I went back and explained that she had used my credit card and that I had paid. She wanted me to pay for an extra chicken salad even though she knew I paid for the two meals we ordered! She embarrassed us greatly without any apology. Terribly rude! My husband just gave her $5.00 to appease her. It was ridiculous!!

Surrey House is not a fast food restaurant. It is your good old cooking, Everything is made to order. First come first serve. With a Godly atmosphere. Everything is run by the book. Some times when people are jealous they well write any thing about a place to try to hurt it. The owner and the people who work there care for one another. They are there to please the customer with a big smile. I have never seem a place have such hard workers. The owner is right there with them.

I know someone who worked at the restaurant and they said they will take the food off other people's plate (if it was untouched) and use it again. So I would be careful if you go in there and eat.
